Facts about Masked Lovebirds
The Masked Lovebird is also called Yellow-collared Lovebird. They are native to northeast Tanzania, and they have been introduced to Burundi and Kenya. They normally lay four to five white eggs in a clutch. Their eggs need 23 days of incubation for hatching. It is a mainly green small parrot about 14.5cm (5.5 in) long. Adults weigh 43-50g (1.5-1.75 oz). Their chicks leave the nest in about 42 days of hatching. Its head is black. The Masked Lovebird has a bright red beak and white eyerings. |
