Facts about Black-collared Lovebirds
The Black-collared Lovebird is also known as Swindern's Lovebird. It is a small parrot reaching a length of 13.5 cm (5 in). The Black-collared Lovebird is distributed across a wide range in equatorial Africa. It inhabits the forests of Cameroon, Central African Republic, the Republic of Congo, the Democratic Republic of Congo,Côte d'Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Liberia and Uganda. It is a mostly green parrot with black band on the back of its neck. It is because of this black band on the back of its neck that it is called Black-collared Lovebird. It has a brownish red chest. The Black-collared Lovebird has a greyish black bill. It has a yellow iris. The Black-collared Lovebird has grey feet. |
