Facts about Blacked-cheeked Lovebirds
Black-cheeked Lovebird is mainly green and has a brown head. It has brownish-black cheeks and throat, thus the common name i.e. Black-cheeked Lovebird. The Black-cheeked Lovebird feeds mainly at ground-level on annual grass seeds, but also on other vegetable matter and insect larvae, and on corn, sorghum, and millet. It has a red beak. This parrot has white eyerings. It is endemic in a relatively small range in southwest Zambia. The Black-cheeked Lovebird is 14 cm (5.5 in) in length. Adults weigh 40g (1.4 oz). This lovebird has mostly green plumage. They have reddish-brown forehead and forecrown. They have grey feet. |
