They hardly ever give voice which is an uncommon situation in the world of birds. They use visual signals for communication.

While migrating they do not fly over the sea and take a really long root over the land. They travel like gliders and the warm air that travel upwards from the land help their purpose.

It is about 150 cm long and have a wingspan of approximately 200 cm.

It is a popular belief that it brings luck and fertility to the house where it nests.
