Interesting Facts about Toucans

Toucans are known for their long bill.

They are native to South America's tropical forests, where toucans are traditionally seen as conduits between the worlds of the living and the spirits.

These birds measure about 25 inch in length but have a very long bill of about 7.5 inch.

They gave an average life span of about 20 years in the wild and weigh 20 ounce on the average.

They are one of the noisiest birds.

Their young ones don't have a long bill at all.

Their long beak allows them to reach deep into the tree holes and access food unavailable to other birds.

Toucans toss berries and fruit to each other during their courting display.
